Lucky Dog 1 notes

Favorite, favorite, favorite visual novel of all time.  I could expound upon its strengths and its characters and how much I love Gian, but I’ll spare you the sordid details and give you what you really want.  You want to actually read what’s in the game?  Here you go!

My goal is to design this page such that it is enjoyable, so I’ll be including pictures.  I won’t be including sound clips of the voices, though, and that’s one of the best parts of this game.  (The same can be said about music too.)  I urge everyone with at least listening comprehension to play the game as there’s much dialogue and Lucky Dog 1 has some of the funnest Japanese I’ve ever heard.  Yes, that’s right.  Fun Japanese.  You can come here for the narration though, haha~

I’ll be working through a walkthrough from the Cool-B Remix SuperPack!! (a fanbook for Lucky Dog 1 and Miracle Not-on, both Tennenouji games) to get 100% for all routes, but I’ll try to organize everything by descriptive scene titles so you can find everything easily.  This means that there will be scenes missing until I get to them in the routes.  I’ve played all the game once before, but that hardly means I remember every scene enough to organize it here.  I’ll also separate the game into bite-sized chunks for organization’s and size’s sake.  No, these separations are not present in the actual game.

Lucky Dog 1 is ultimately a BL game.  I’ll provide warnings for the … questionable scenes. I’ll probably also put them under password protection (with the password posted here) so that people don’t accidentally click on them.  Lucky Dog 1 is a BL visual novel game through and through, but I think the story and characters are wonderful enough that those squicky about this content should be able to enjoy the story too.

I’ve listed short stories and drama CDs here for the time being.  I will definitely translate the short stories, given time, and I will try to work on the CDs, too, although my listening comprehension is about 95% and to translate, I’d need it at about 100% 😦  But with some people’s help, it will be very possible 😉

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who picks apart my blog like no one’s business.  While I may sound curt and annoyed when I respond, it really is you people who help me make the translation as high quality as it can be.  I always try to catch my errors through my many edits, but I tend to make more mistakes when I’m correcting something else, so…  Thank you all.

And thank you all for reading m(._.)m

Thank YOU so much for coming and reading XD As much as I love translating for the sake of translating, having readers is always fun. Be sure to make lots of comments! I love to discuss anything about LD (and it’s not just because no one will do so with me T^T)

I hope you enjoy the translations =) They’re not yet perfect, but I’m pretty proud of them ^^

(PS: I visited your tumblr. The pictures are very pretty, and now you have me curious … what series do you cover? I only recognized Natsume Yuujinchou…)

LKSGLKSJGd Sorry, I totally did not see a reply, I thought it would send me an email, but it didn’t……

My goodness, I believe the credit should all go to you for taking the time and doing this once again! I adore LD and Gian is so sassy yet so endearing, that’s what I love about him. Along with that, Yura’s artwork is really great. To be honest, I’m not a fan of Gian’s usual voice…..but his H voice is perfect alskdgj;lsadkgjsadk.I love to fangirl about any BL game it’d be great if we could talk more!

Hey now, they’re pretty perfect to me. I don’t see many grammatical errors, and god only knows how many thousand times better they are than ATLAS translations.
(ie In Sweet pool, Kitani’s name is translated into “valley princess” smh)

You visited my tumblr? Thank you very much! I’ve changed the layout a bit….What series? I mainly reblog whatever I like to be honest, and that would be flowers, pretty art from various fandoms (now it’s mainly kuroko no basuke, before it was DMMd). But yes, BL games, etc/

Thank you so much for the translations!
I’m still practicing Japanese on quite a basic level, just starting on some kanji.

So far, my favourite pairings for Gian must be Luchino and Bernardo. Looking forward to reading the details in Luchi’s route 😀
