bad egg+ tidbits: scenes 05

…And sorry, we’re right back to angst, haha.

Last batch!  More CR:5 and Giulio and … Gian’s backstory!  Gian’s parentage has actually been brought up in multiple Short Stories (SS) before, but never stated explicitly except in the first LD1 art book.  For those who don’t know, Gelsomina is Gian’s mom’s name.

I think this is going to be the last batch, though there’s one more message from tennenouji I want to work on 🙂

 

Out of Time

“We cannot…  If Signor Gian does not come, then…”

“Then what?  We gonna wait here ’til like good li’l boys ’til we’re neck deep in this shit or what?”

“…Tsk!  We-  No, I believe that Gian will definitely come.  Even if he doesn’t make it here, then he’ll definitely make it out…”

“…Cazzo.  Time’s up!  We’ll hold out for the moment, but if that truck starts moving, then we’re out.”

“Make the call, Bernardo.  We … can’t afford to kick the bucket here.  You know that, right…?”

“Gian … would wait, but…  Even if just one of us survives, we’ve got to make it back to Daivan and fight!”

“…Heh.  Looks like we’re fucked whether we go forward or back.”

“…I understand.  If Gian … doesn’t come, then we … will leave…”

 

Radio

“Today, shoot outs in multiple locations thought to be from gang conflict are terrorizing the city of Daivan again.

Multiple deaths and injuries have been confirmed.

We have received word that the city police still fails to grasp the full situation and that there are still areas on fire with bodies left at the scene.

The violence and murders that started a few days ago…

One day, the feared gang suddenly appeared in Daivan.  They are called Dog Grave or DG by the public.

Additionally, the gang leader is called Bad Dog (rabid dog) Giancarlo by the people.

However, the identity of this individual remains a mystery.

The Daivan police force is requesting our citizens to come forth with any information pertaining to any associate of this gang or to its boss.

If any one has information on Bad Dog Giancarlo-”

A hand slithered out from the darkness like a white snake and turned the radio dial as it searched for another news station.

The only sound breaking the silence is noise reminiscent of writhing worms.

“…Sigh…”

The only sound in the room, the wispy sigh may as well have been whispered by the air as floats adrift in the dark of the night.  The rip of paper being cut and the white noise reign over the darkness.

This continues for a moment until eventually, the dragging noise of the dull blade vanishes…

…leaving only the noise to continue babbling like artificial water…

“Signor … Gian…  I will … never hand you over to anyone else…”

 

“…I only dropped by today to see the little kiddo.  Sorry, I’m busy.  I’m not in the mood to hear any of your lectures today.”

“You’re too loud, Alex!  …You’ll wake Gian, and after he finally drifted off, too.  And?  So?  You said you’re busy, so where are you going?”

“The same as always.  I’m going to hunt down Ethan … and settle things.  That bastard’s snuck into Daivan!  He’s probably gonna act all pathetic and beg to come see Gelsomina and the kid…  Anyways, I’m never gonna forgive him.  I can’t leave him alive.”

“Hmph.  You can bark all you like, but … what?  So he stole Gelsomina.  Was she your wife?”

“…!  Wh-…  W-Well…”

“Did you actually marry Gelsomina?  Did you buy a ring for her?  Did you ready a house for the two of you to live in?  Did you ever tell her you love her?”

“I-I … I’ve always been…”

“You oaf.  You never did a single thing for her.  How pathetic you are, barking on and on about how ‘Ethan stole her.’  Just listening to you makes my own ears turn red in embarrassment.  Well, Ethan’s shit, too, for running away without taking responsibility.  …Heh, well, you two are very similar, Alex.  You go ahead and kill each other for all I care.”

“Gh … Nghh….”

“Gelsomina’s going to be back soon.  …Hurry and get out of here, Alex.  If you see her now, you’ll only hurt both of you.”

“…Yeah, you’re right.  …Gian, you still asleep?  Teresa … take care of the kid, will you…?”

 

 

“Th-The fuck is this…?!  Shit…!! Gelsomina…!  Carlo, you, too…?!  A-Aagh…!  Gelsomina…!  Aah…  …Ethan!!  Don’t tell me…  Don’t tell me you did this…?!!”

“…!  Wait!!  Alessandro!!”
