Updates and lots of videos

Lots of things to say, but don’t know where to start.

First off, a big thanks to a few readers who’ve been a great help and have even donated fanart / AMVs!  You can see their works in the Library.

Finally finished the Ivan Best Route.  I’ve revamped the menus for LD1 too, so it should stop crashing on me when I update.  I think the chibis are a big hit with you guys, too (seriously, how do you spot my updates before I make a post?!), apparently.  It’s also a blatant excuse for me to upload pretty images without actually having a gallery section.  (Because of the change in the menu, though, there may be a few broken links lying about.  Please comment on the page with the link if you find one!  …There shouldn’t be many left, though…)

So, I’ve only posted the scenes specific to the Best Route on the side bar.  There’s still some other minute differences, though, so if you want you can read the route again =P

Oh right.  Speaking of Ivan…  Someone asked me about the kid that died in Ivan’s route, Al.  It actually is the same Al that tags along with Ivan in IFG.  I had to think about it for a bit to figure out how that’s possible (while giving tennenouji the benefit of the doubt that they didn’t forget who they’d killed off), and … yeah.  Different routes.  He dies on Ivan’s route, but he’s alive on Gian’s canon route.  I can’t believe I forgot that part ^^;  That’s your answer, person-who-asked-but-shall-not-be-named! \o/

In addition … lotsa nice videos.  I got two as a gift from a reader, posted below, but I’ve also discovered a nice firefox app that actually allows me to download the nicovideo vids in HQ, so I’m reuploading the old ones (-ERROR in HQ is so good *_*) and adding some new ones.  As a gift, I also present the video below…

Remember, Suzuki Tatsuhisa is Gian ^^  This is an old song … it appeared on the same CD as the ending of Sukisyo, Just a Survivor.  (Point of interest for some: the singer of the opening – Daydreamin’ – is Taniyama Kishou … Natsuki =P )  (God he looks like he’s having fun…)

In addition, there’s a new UtaPrince game coming out!  UtaPrince All Star looks like it’ll focus on the 4 senpai (I’m too lazy to think up an appropriate translation for that atm), and Broccoli’ve started releasing sample songs.  Three are below, reposted from the blog Utapri06STARISH.  (Also remember … Ranmaru is Suzuki Tatsuhisa too!  …Yes, this is actually, seriously a coincidence.  I had a fit when I learned of this back when Debut came out.)

Suggestions…  Um, they’re all kind of pretty.  The Scarlet AMV (with the really long title) has a really great song, and I really want to be able to translate that at some time … and it’s nice seeing Love Story and ERROR without pixels the size of my fist.  Of the new ones, I really like Life Goes On and 7th Heaven.  (Watch for the spoiler warning on the latter, though!)

Ivan route (normal) complete

After six months, I’ve finally finished Ivan’s normal route.  That makes me about 20% done with the game as a whole?

Next, I’m going to be doing the bad route (*shudder*) and then the best route.  The best route will branch off from the beginning of Part 3 and then stay a separate route entirely in this blog, so it will only contain translations for the answers to the choices you make in the best route (according to the walkthrough).  On the main page, the best routes will be marked with a marker and inserted where appropriate.

But, for now, there won’t be many updates on the site that will be worth noting (I think).  I’ll be setting up for the best route, and then I also have to hunt down the script for the next route…  Also, I’ll be going over the beginning of the translations and doing edits.

In the meantime, enjoy the many new AMVs I scrounged up from NicoNico!  They’re posted on the Library page.  I highly suggest “Game of Life” if you don’t mind references to LHL (they don’t really count as spoilers…) because Dark Gian is just that awesome.  Also suggest the OST Medley for all of you who haven’t played the game because the OST is just that awesome.

Lucky Dog Part 2 complete!

Lucky Dog 1 Part 2: Escape is complete!  This means I’m about halfway through with Ivan’s route!

The next part I’ll be translating the normal route for Ivan.  Why not the best route?  Because I feel it’ll be better to have something to build up towards.  Besides, in Ivan’s case, the two routes are almost exactly the same.

Also, I’ve uploaded a library section and a links section.  The library’s basically a collection of my favorite AMVs and fanfics and other stuff, and the links are my fave / suggested links.  They’re currently barebones, but the library section’s got Lucky Dog 1 AMVs, if anyone’s interested.  A few of them were only available on Niconico, so I’d uploaded them to Youtube.

Now I have to get going on everything else…  Haven’t done the FAQ yet, either … *mumble*…

My sister just got engaged, so we’re playing “meet the future son-in-law’s family” tomorrow.  I’m so screwed, homework-wise…

obligatory greeting post

Hello,

terracannon876 here.  This shall be a blog for storing my writings, as well as the writings of friends.  This includes both fanfiction, original fiction, and fanfiction of both fanfiction and original fiction and possibly artworks of said fiction.

This also includes private translation projects I have, including prospective translations of the Japanese light novels Baccano! and Durarara!! by Narita Ryougo.  I’m also hoping to create a fan translation of Lucky Dog 1.

I may end up posting some crazy rants here too, based on anime or movies I’ve seen.  Rants on video games will not be included here because I am also one of the writers for Siliconera as well, so please visit that site instead (we need all the traffic we can get!).  Older games (i.e. ones before 2009) may have rants posted on this site.

Hopefully, I will end up compiling a “library” of fanfiction I like as well.  Maybe I’ll also create a small section based on trivia and topics that interest me, such as mythology, philosophy, etc.

I believe this is all I have planned for this site.  I’ll probably never finish, but … here’s to hoping!
